Meet the Tillers, A lovely group of five from Apex, North Carolina. These kids are competitive swimmers, so they are right at home in the water. While visiting their grandparents who are from Pawley's Island and Surfside, mom wanted to get their toes in the sand. We barely missed the late afternoon storms. Thankfully taking pictures in overcast was like a huge softbox. Carla knew exactly where she wanted to go, so I got there early and scouted out the perfect spot. Another photographer and family were meandering along the shore, so I secured the dune by plopping down in front of this rainbow row of houses. My husand assured me that I could not call a dune my own. Nevertheless I did, & thanks to my sneaky tactics I got the shot. Thus making some extraordinary beachy pictures.
